Welcome to the website of United Yezidi Community of America. We are a non-profit organization representing our Yezidi community here in Lincoln Nebraska. The Board is comprised of 15 members, each member representing families in the Yezidi community. We are all volunteer representatives and each year a new president is elected.  Along with our regular Board, we also have an Elder's Board. The chosen board collaborates with the Elders before making any major decisions. The Board is open to everyone in the community. Our meetings take place weekly and last approximately two hours.

Meetings are member run, and include open discussions regarding any concerns, suggestions, or other ideas from the Yezidi community. Our members work directly with the Yezidi community to bring these topics the weekly meetings.  We focus on ideas that will be in the best interest of the community.

Our Board has a mission statement to guide us in our decision making every time we meet:

OUR MISSION STATEMENT IS TO SERVE, EMPOWER, ORGANIZE AND ADVOCATE FOR OUR YEZIDI COMMUNITY.
